North Atlantic independent singer songwriter Joshua Madore (WWW.JOSHUAMADORE.COM) brings his gravelly brand of acoustic based rock to the North Star Music Cafe on Thursday February 25. Joshua will be performing with a small band and draws comparisons to Tom Waits, Paul Westerberg and Lou Reed. Formal releases include The Same Mistakes (2007) and Free / D4988 (2009). Both albums are available at Bull Moose Music and on-line at all major digital distributors. The show begins at 8pm with local singer songwriter Jason Lambert (The Populists) opening. This is an all ages event with donations welcome.

Just wanted to take the time to thank the good people at TT the Bear's in Boston for having us last month. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and look forward to doing it again...

I've got a handful of shows lined up for early fall. Most will be loud and with the new band. If you've only seen my stripped down affairs, come have a drink with us and rock out.....

NPR's Mountain Stage recently held a song writing contest. "Daffodils and Pills" was one of six Northeast regional finalist. I don't usually do this sort of thing but it was entertaining. Here's the contest site:
